Shelli Newman, AuD

Shelli Newman is an audiologist who specializes in diagnosing and treating hearing disorders in pediatric patients, including infants. She performs comprehensive diagnostic evaluations that are developmentally appropriate. This includes the auditory brainstem response exam — a neurologic test used to estimate hearing sensitivity — under general anesthesia or during natural sleep.

Newman enjoys working with patients and their families on strategies to enrich hearing and communication. She assists them with amplification selection and uses proven approaches to fitting in addition to teaching use of assistive listening devices.

Newman earned her doctor of audiology degree from San Diego State University and University of California San Diego. She is a member of the American Auditory Society.
