Children suffering from aplastic anemia are treated at UCSF Children's Hospital at 505 Parnassus Ave. and its Ambulatory Care Center at 400 Parnassus Ave. In the hospital, a seventh floor unit is dedicated to children's cancer and blood diseases.
While in the hospital, most children have a private room with a couch that converts into a daybed for one parent. Priority for a private room is given to patients with a new diagnosis or infection.
Outpatient treatment is provided in the Pediatric Treatment Center on the first floor of the Ambulatory Care Center.
