Nancy Chiesa, pediatric electrophysiology nurse

Nancy Chiesa is the pediatric electrophysiology (EP) nurse at UCSF Children's Hospital. She has been a registered nurse since 1973, and employed at UCSF since 1976. She has extensive experience in adult and pediatric intensive care, adult cardiology and adult and pediatric cardiac electrophysiology and pacing.

Her involvement with cardiac arrhythmias and electrophysiology dates back to the pioneering days of radiofrequency ablations in the early 1980s and extends to all aspects of the Pediatric Arrhythmia Center at UCSF. She participates in the initial family contact and assists with procedures in the EP lab, in post-procedure care and with clinic visits. Additionally, she is involved in clinical research studies and the evaluation of new technologies in this exciting field.
