Treating hip problems in growing children is often a crucial issue. Pediatric orthopedists understand both how a condition impacts a child's life at the time of diagnosis and the future effects it will have on the child's physical, emotional and social development.
Our pediatric orthopedists are experts in managing the special needs of children with problems of the hips, including hip dysplasia and Legg-Calve-Perthes disease.
Our team is comprised of doctors, nurses and physical therapists who work together to develop treatment plans that are tailored to each child's individual needs. In addition, collaboration with UCSF Medical Center researchers provides access to the latest developments in diagnosing, treating and caring for children with hip problems. Our goal is to improve the child's quality of life, decrease pain and enhance hip function.
