Urinary Tract Infection |

 |
Urinary tract infection is a common problem in children. Being common doesn't make UTIs any less serious. Left untreated, they can lead to permanent kidney damage and even life-threatening conditions. Because children's kidneys are just developing, they are more vulnerable to damage and scarring from urinary tract infections. UTIs in newborns are more common in boys but are far more common in older girls. They are a major cause of hospitalization in children.
Our staff has extensive experience in managing urinary infections in children. As an academic medical center, we have access to the most advanced diagnostic technology for determining your child's condition.
