Darcy Phelan is a nurse practitioner who specializes in the care of adults with hemophilia and other bleeding disorders. Before joining the UCSF Hemophilia Treatment Center in 2009, she was hospital nurse for five years on the hematology, oncology and blood and marrow transplant unit at UCSF Medical Center. She also worked for two years as a bone marrow transplant nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Mass.
Phelan earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado at Boulder and an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Denver. She received a Master of Science degree as a nurse practitioner at the UCSF School of Nursing in 2009, with a focus on primary care for adults. Phelan is board certified as an adult nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
