Dr. Stefanie M. Ueda is a surgeon who specializes in gynecologic cancers. She has particular interests in ovarian cancer and robotic surgery.

Ueda's research has addressed conditions including low-grade serous and clear cell ovarian cancers, and uterine serous cancer. She has also studied biologically targeted therapies and treatment outcomes.

Ueda earned her medical degree with honors from New York University School of Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Hawai'i, followed by a fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service.

Ueda has received awards for cancer research from the HERA Women's Cancer Foundation and Entertainment Industry Foundation. She is a member of the Society of Gynecologic Oncology.

    Explanations were at about my level of understanding. Since appointment was remote and local hospital is delivering imaging/ treatment all delays and potential delays are due to Providence rather than UCSF.

    I think Dr. Ueda is outstanding! I would highly recommend her to anyone and I am very grateful for having her look after me. She is extremely knowledgeable and gives detailed but easy to understand information. I learned a lot from listening to her describe my medical issues and solutions.

    I am concerned about having to wait two weeks for the tumor board to discuss my case. I am surprised the tumor board does not meet weekly or biweekly to support the growing number of patients at UCSF.

    Dr Ueda is an extraordinary doctor. She Is extremely knowledgeable about her field of Oncology and women's health. She Is kind and considerate to me knowing the seriousness of my condition.
