We serve patients of all ages who need specialized medications for chronic, complex or rare diseases. We are trained in specific conditions and help guide patients in using therapies and managing side effects.
Our pharmacy services
We designed our pharmacy services with you in mind. A skilled pharmacy team supports your well-being and puts your needs first. Our services include:
Free medication delivery. It's easy to get your medication with our pick-up, mail order and delivery services, available at no additional cost to you. Your pharmacy team communicates with you via MyChart or phone to arrange delivery to your home or work or pick-up at the UCSF Health outpatient pharmacy location of your choice.
Discharge prescriptions. Hospitalized patients receive convenient bedside medication delivery upon discharge.
Refill reminders. We make it easier to stay on track with your medications by contacting you before prescription refills are due.
Compounding pharmacy services. Pharmacy staff can compound medications that are not commercially available (Mission Bay location only).
Medication education and consultations. Our pharmacists explain when and how to take your medication and answer any questions you may have. They can also do a "medication checkup," a comprehensive review of your medication history.
Benefits support. Our pharmacies accept Medicare, Medi-Cal and most commercial plans. We help you understand your prescription coverage, out-of-pocket costs and financial assistance options.
Vaccinations. We offer a wide range of vaccines, including influenza, COVID-19, other routine adult vaccines and travel vaccines. Schedule a vaccination appointment in MyChart or walk in during pharmacy hours.
