Medical Genetics

UCSF Medical Genetics provides consultation, counseling and care for patients with rare or complex genetic disorders. Since genetic disorders are inherited, they can affect more than one member of the family. We care for each family member affected by the condition.

Genetic disorders can be complicated to treat and may require the expertise of various specialists. Our team works closely with other experts in areas such as cancer, neurology and cardiology, to provide the most comprehensive care possible.
