Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Tumor Board

The UCSF Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) Tumor Board is a virtual symposium that provides insight from UCSF experts on the topic of HCC tumors. Our experts engage in in-depth multidisciplinary discussions about cases, which are presented anonymously. They offer guidance on sequencing therapies and how to optimize multidisciplinary management of HCC.

This service has been incredibly valuable for our patients here in the Central Valley. The virtual format has worked very well for our group. Access to the expertise of UCSF hepatologists and GI oncologists is an amazing resource.
Dr. Sean Tower, Forefront Radiology
Our experience with the HCC tumor board has been simply amazing. Our community-based physicians have learned so much about HCC management and treatment. We have many mutual patients and a very strong relationship with one of the country's leading academic centers. Thanks to the UCSF team's expert case review, we are able to offer a true multidisciplinary approach to HCC management in our community and improve outcomes.
Dr. Pavan Khanna, St. Joseph's Medical Center
The virtual HCC tumor board gives us direct access to and strengthens our relationships with UCSF's multidisciplinary team. It also expedites getting appointments for our patients. We learn a lot from the discussions and are grateful for the team's time and efforts.
Dr. Ruel Garcia, inSite Digestive Health Care

Meetings are held on the first, third and fourth Thursdays of every month, noon to 1 p.m.
