Dr. Lisa U. Pascual is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, also known as a physiatrist. She specializes in restoring and enhancing physical function in people with disabilities related to injury or illness.

After earning her medical degree and completing a residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of California, Davis, Pascual joined the staff at Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center. She was appointed co-chief of rehabilitation services in 1996 and became chief of rehabilitation services in 1999. In 2003, she completed a two-year fellowship training program with the California Health Care Foundation.

Since 2003, Pascual has served as chief of Rehabilitation Services at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center. In 2019, she took on the additional role of section chief of physical medicine and rehabilitation in UCSF's orthopedic surgery department.

    Dr. Pascual is very attentive, caring, and analytical. She confirmed that the route of a proposed surgical intervention is the best course of action to improve ambulatory function.

    Dr. Pascual is great. She is smart, invested in improving the lives of those of us, who have had a spinal cord injury and very kind. I can't imagine a better Doctor or person! I made many appointments with P, M and R Doctors before I found Dr Pascual. Every other P, M & R Doc (Physical Medicine and Rehab) Doc at UCSF practices pain medicine. Dr. Pascual is the only one practicing rehab. In the three years I have been seeing her, she has been moved three times (St Luke's, SFGH and now Berkeley). We have been able to manage with zoom meetings so her location hasn't been a problem. Please reward her for her competence and dedication and tell the operators where she is, so those of us who need a real P, M & R can find her!

    Dr. Pasqual was the best. She listened to me and gave me a couple possible problems. She will contact my other provider to discuss any possible solutions and then get a hold of me to come back to see her

    Excellent doctor! She is very thorough in her approach to problems and listens carefully to the patient. It is obvious that she cares about her patients. I am very grateful to be one of her patients.
