Refills
Requesting refills seven days early is the best way to avoid running out of your medication. MyChart is the easiest way to request a refill and schedule for pick-up or delivery. You can also call the pharmacy.
The extra week gives the pharmacy time to deal with common issues, such as:
- Getting a refill approval from your doctor, if needed
- Resolving issues with your insurance, such as getting prior authorization
- Ordering your medication if it's not in stock
Long-acting injectables (LAIs)
LAI therapy can provide less-frequent dosing and consistent protection. To schedule, use MyChart to book a consultation. Our pharmacists will review your options and answer your questions to see if LAI is right for you. If you choose an LAI, you can receive your injection quickly and comfortably in our private consultation space, as well as ongoing support for any needs you may have along the way.
Vaccinations
Vaccinations are available Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. To schedule, use MyChart or call the pharmacy. Walk-ins are welcome, but there may be a wait at busy times.
UCSF outpatient pharmacies do not currently offer vaccinations to Medi-Cal patients younger than 18 years old.
Insurance
The pharmacy accepts most insurance plans, including Medicare, Medi-Cal and commercial plans.
