Saint Francis and St. Mary's are now Hyde Hospital and Stanyan Hospital

Saint Francis Hospital and St. Mary’s Hospital are now UCSF Health Hyde Hospital and UCSF Health Stanyan Hospital, fully integrating these hospitals into UCSF Health. This change strengthens our network of care across San Francisco, bringing community-based hospitals into our academic health system.

Patients will now receive official communications and billing from UCSF Health. Health records from both hospitals have been securely transferred into UCSF Health’s electronic medical record (EMR) system, creating a seamless experience for patients as they access care across our hospitals and clinics.

With a few exceptions, patients can continue to access services at the same locations and telephone numbers. Patients now have easy access to their health information with UCSF MyChart. Using MyChart, patients can pay bills, refill prescriptions, message their care teams, self-schedule appointments, and more. Learn more about MyChart.

To create a more welcoming experience for our patients and visitors, we’ve expanded lobby hours and enhanced Guest Services at both Stanyan and Hyde Hospitals.

The main lobby at Stanyan will now be open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The main lobby at Hyde will now be open 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Outside these hours, patients/visitors may enter through the Emergency Department on Bush Street.

We’ve added 24/7 onsite security and extended Guest Services hours at both hospitals.

Your current appointments and providers will not change.

No. You will continue to have access to the services and providers you have now, along with expanded access to UCSF Health's providers. UCSF Health will continue to honor all insurance arrangements presently available at the hospitals and their associated outpatient clinics (like the Sister Mary Philippa Health Center).

You may notice some changes to billing statements to reflect bills coming from UCSF Health. We are improving how billing is handled, making it easier to view, pay, and manage your medical bills. During this transition, you may receive different bills for services received on different dates. Follow the instructions on each statement for questions or payment, as contact information may differ.

At this time, you will continue to access care teams and services using the same telephone numbers. Patients now have easy access to their health information with UCSF MyChart.
