UCSF and Cigna Reach Agreement

We’re pleased to share that Cigna and the University of California—including UCSF Health—have reached a new agreement.

This means patients with Cigna health insurance can continue receiving care from UCSF Health, including UCSF Medical Center, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals in San Francisco and Oakland, Langley Porter Psychiatric Hospital, UCSF Medical Group, and UCSF Benioff Children’s Physicians, without interruption. This equitable agreement helps protect our ability to provide high-quality care to the patients and communities who rely on us.

In the coming weeks, Cigna HMO members may receive communication directly from Cigna with additional details or updated member information. PPO members should not need to take any action.

We’re grateful to have resolved this uncertainty and remain committed to providing high-quality care to all who rely on UCSF Health.
