About me

Sasha Yamnik is a certified nurse-midwife who specializes in low-risk pregnancies and deliveries. She leads centering pregnancy groups, which provide additional prenatal education, enhance engagement in the pregnancy journey, and help families prepare for childbirth and parenting.

Yamnik has extensive training in Mindfulness-Based Childbirth and Parenting, a program that improves birth outcomes and lowers rates of postpartum depression. The approach incorporates mindful meditation techniques and methods of bringing mindfulness into daily life, as well as drawing on the psychology of childbirth. She is passionate about using these skills in her practice.

Yamnik earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at St. Olaf College and her master's degree in nurse-midwifery at UCSF. She is a member of the American College of Nurse-Midwives.
