About me

Allison S. Gallaher is a speech-language pathologist who cares for patients with conditions related to memory, attention, executive function (mental skills needed to make plans, modify behavior and otherwise meet the demands of everyday life), swallowing, and speech or other language abilities. She has particular interests in supporting individuals with autoimmune disorders, concussion, and mild cognitive impairment. She enjoys helping patients identify lifestyle changes that can lower their risk of cognitive decline. Her goal is to partner with her patients to improve their speech and language abilities, their independence, and their capacity to participate in meaningful life tasks.

Gallaher earned her master's degree in communication disorders at Southern Connecticut State University. She also has special training in teaching seated yoga.

In addition to caring for patients, Gallaher has been an esteemed speaker for national continuing education courses related to cognitive rehabilitation.
