Amy Tso, MD

Dr. Amy Tso is a neurologist who cares for people with migraines, trigeminal autonomic cephalalgias (a category of severe one-sided headaches that includes cluster headaches) and rare headache disorders. She has experience in using infusions of dihydroergotamine in the hospital to treat certain headaches.

Tso's research has focused on methods of imaging the brain during migraines as well as on integrating artificial intelligence applications into clinic and hospital management.

Tso earned her medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles. While in medical school, she spent two years at the National Institutes of Health researching how to use different imaging methods to visualize strokes. She completed a residency in neurology and a fellowship in headache medicine at UCSF.

In her free time, Tso enjoys activities in nature, including multiday alpine hikes, scuba diving, and delighting in the local beauty of the headlands and redwoods.
