About me

Dr. Anna Butrymowicz is an otolaryngologist with a particular interest in treating nasal congestion and chronic sinus issues. She also has expertise in head and neck trauma. She cares for both adults and children.

One of Butrymowicz's research interests is understanding chronic sinus diseases. Her research also explores new surgical approaches to treating head and neck conditions, especially those that affect the paranasal sinuses, air-filled spaces surrounding the nasal cavity.

Butrymowicz earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She then completed a residency in otolaryngology at Albany Medical Center, where she served as chief resident.

Butrymowicz is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and American Rhinologic Society.

A native of Poland, Butrymowicz spent her childhood in New York. She has written book chapters and articles in peer-reviewed journals, as well as lectured and presented her research at national otolaryngology meetings.

      Bedside manner was rough. She didn't seem to care much about me or how I felt. It was awkward. She seemed short with me and didn't seem really concerned with how I felt. Trying to give her the benefit of the doubt that she was having a really bad day and is not usually like that.

      Actually the most thorough and professional interaction I have ever had with a doctor. A model consultation - took time, did thorough history and examination, explained things well, took the time to answer my questions and gave concrete options and recommendations Thank you!
