About me

Dr. Anobel Odisho is a urologic surgeon who specializes in cancers of the genital and urinary organs, including prostate, bladder and testicular cancer. In addition to traditional surgery, he uses robotic, laparoscopic and endoscopic techniques. He believes in partnering with his patients on decision making as they explore treatment options, and he uses interactive educational tools to enhance their care.

An award-winning speaker and researcher, Odisho studies how to incorporate novel technologies into established treatments to improve care for patients with kidney cancer. He also studies trends and patterns of delivering kidney cancer care. He has written extensively on his research findings.

Odisho earned his medical degree at UCSF, followed by a master of public health degree at the University of California, Berkeley. He then completed a residency in urologic surgery at UCSF and a fellowship in urologic oncology at the University of Washington. Dr Odisho has great bedside manners - he took the time to explain every step of my partial nephrectomy in clear, reassuring terms - his calm, compassionate approach made me feel confident and cared for throughout the process - I'm very grateful for the outcome and the level of attention he provided before and after the procedure
