About me
Dr. Ayesha Salahuddin is a cardiologist who cares for adults with congenital heart disease (birth defects involving the heart's structure) and pregnant people with heart conditions.
In research, Salahuddin's interests include factors that predict adverse outcomes for adults with congenital heart disease, particularly patients with single ventricle defects (in which only one of the lower chambers functions well). By comparing imaging results and clinical data, she aims to unravel the intricate relationships among anatomy, physiology and overall well-being. She believes that a better understanding of the long-term effects of living with congenital heart disease will lead to improved care and outcomes.
Salahuddin earned her medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Pakistan. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Ascension St. Francis. She completed a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Montefiore Health System and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a fellowship in adult congenital heart disease at UCSF.
Salahuddin is a member of the American Heart Association and the Adult Congenital Heart Association, as well as a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Before coming to UCSF, she was a faculty member in the division of general cardiology and echocardiography at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

I've actually talked positively about my experiences with my gf and one of my neighbors. It was mostly about your impressive San Mateo location. My interactions with drs and staff are cool too.
