Brian T. Bast, MD, DMD

Dr. Brian Bast is an oral, jaw and face surgeon who specializes in reconstructive procedures, jaw correction and temporomandibular joint surgery. His expertise also encompasses dental implants and surgical treatments for traumatic facial injuries as well as for diseases affecting the mouth, jaw and face.

Bast's research interests include facial trauma and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Bast earned his dentistry degree at Harvard University. He earned his medical degree at UCSF, where he completed a residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He also completed training in anesthesia and orthopedic microsurgery at UCSF.

Bast is a member of several professional societies, including the San Francisco Dental Society, California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Medical Association and American Dental Association.
