Dr. Clifton Watt is a cardiologist who cares for adults with a variety of cardiovascular diseases, including patients with advanced conditions. He also provides preventive cardiac care. He has a particular interest in cardiac imaging technologies, such as echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography, vascular ultrasound and nuclear cardiology.

Watt earned his medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. He then completed a fellowship in internal medicine at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center and a fellowship in cardiology at the University of California, Davis.

Watt is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.

In his free time, Watt enjoys going to the gym.

    Dr. Watt has a way of convincing me of the benefit of doing things I should be doing, like taking statins, limiting caffeine, and the like. More than any other person. I feel confident that he is monitoring my unique set of cardiac issues carefully. I can always reach him through the app.

    I got standard 'good' advice and feedback, but I was hoping for more of an actual conversation. For every question/tangent I had, it all came back to"the statistics show..." and I already know all that. I would have liked someone who would entertain some thoughts, alternative views, a skeptic's lack of faith in "the data clearly show..." or what about us 'outliers'? Dr was clear, understandable, and by the book. Thanks.

    I'm honestly not thrilled with the patient communication skills from my doctor. I always come away thinking that I should probably find another doctor, but I'm often too lazy to do so. Maybe this year I will. He did seem a little less rude this year than last, which made the visit slightly better. Still awkward though.

    "Friendly" is not a suitable word to describe Dr. Watt. He is a no-nonsense straightforward person, who treats his patient as his equal. He does not fain any interest in the patient's family life, etc. His examination of the patient's body is thorough and his diagnoses on the patient's symptoms as well as his recommendations on life habit, medication, etc. Are all clear. His after-visit-summary and notes are detailed and clear although I needed to consult the dictionary often.

    When the complete diagnosis is not yet possible, I admire the honesty and humility of a very competent doctor who can admit he doesn't know what causes a symptom and still expresses genuine concern and compassion. Fortunately, he was very reassuring about what it is not, and that I am still healthy.
