Dana Larsen, MD

Dr. Dana Larsen is a nephrologist who cares for patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension and electrolyte imbalances.

Larsen's research focuses on medical education, including examining medical trainees’ engagement with free open-access medical education resources such as podcasts, blogs and videos.

Larsen completed her medical degree at Baylor College. She completed a fellowship in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and a fellowship in nephrology at UCSF. Larsen also has a master of education degree from UC Berkeley. She serves as co-director for the first-year UCSF course on the kidney and as associate program director for UCSF’s nephrology fellowship program. Larsen played soccer in college and was recognized for outstanding academic and athletic achievements through the Academic All-America program.
