About me

Danielle Thurlow is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with blood cancers, such as leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. She has a special interest in supporting patients undergoing treatments for acute leukemia, including stem cell transplantation. With more than a decade of oncology nursing experience, she has presented at multiple conferences on compassion fatigue and resilience in caregivers for people with blood cancers. She is passionate about incorporating caregivers as active members of each patient's health care team throughout the treatment journey.

Thurlow earned a bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Austin and her master's degree in nursing at the University of Cincinnati.

Thurlow lives in San Francisco with her family and Australian shepherd, Sir Winston Churcheel.
