Darcy Phelan is a nurse practitioner who specializes in caring for adults with hemophilia or other bleeding disorders.

Before turning her focus to hemophilia treatment in 2009, Phelan was a hospital nurse for five years on UCSF's hematology, oncology and blood and marrow transplant unit. She also worked for two years as a bone marrow transplant nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital.

Phelan earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado Boulder and an undergraduate degree in nursing from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. She earned a master of science degree as a nurse practitioner at the UCSF School of Nursing, with a focus on primary care for adults.
