About me

Dr. James Pirruccello is a cardiologist who cares for patients with cardiovascular conditions, including aortic diseases (those involving the heart’s main artery). He has particular interests in disease prevention and genetics.

This was my first visit with him (referred by Dr. Grandis after his retirement), and I got a really good impression of him! He spent time listening, explaining, answering questions. Was very friendly, seemed genuinely concerned about my condition and needs, and his expertise and knowledge came through. But in a very down to earth way. Great first impression.

Really appreciated the doctor - he was a great explainer and very easy to communicate with. I never felt he was rushing to his next thing, which is usually how doctor appointments feel.. He was very present, and patient, and informative.

I really like Dr. Pirruccello's bedside manner: he is intelligent and thoughtful and takes the time to listen to my concerns, evaluate my scans, labs and other information, and explain his reasoning. He is reassuring while still giving me information on the trajectory of my condition. During the visit, I became lightheaded, and he jumped into action, asking an assistant to take an EKG and measuring my pulse and blood pressure while making sure I was comfortable. My intermittent lightheadedness prior to this appointment seemed to have nothing to do with my cardio health and he alleviated many of my worries.

Felt like Dr. P was well prepared (eg, he had read my chart BEFORE the appointment!) spent a lot of time time and really listened. Great experience.
