About me

Dr. Janet Lee is an endocrinologist who cares for both children and adults with disorders of the endocrine system, the network of glands that produce and release hormones. She has a special focus on metabolic bone disease and gender-affirming medical therapy.

Lee's research focuses on improving gender-affirming medical therapies. In particular, she seeks to better understand how these therapies affect the skeleton in transgender and gender-diverse youths.

Lee earned her medical degree and a master of public health degree at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She completed a fellowship in adult and pediatric endocrinology at UCSF.
