Dr. Ken Rosenfeld is a palliative care specialist. He helps manage the myriad needs of seriously ill patients, including by relieving pain and other physical symptoms, promoting emotional and spiritual well-being, supporting families, and ensuring each patient receives care that honors their values.
Rosenfeld's research broadly looks at how to improve care quality for patients and families affected by serious illness. Specific topics include redesigning care delivery systems, addressing spiritual needs and improving medical education on palliative care.
Rosenfeld earned his medical degree at UCSF. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital and a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; both facilities are affiliates of Harvard Medical School.
