About me

Dr. Nisha Hariharan is a hematologist-oncologist who cares for patients with blood disorders (both cancerous and non-cancerous) and a variety of solid tumors, with a focus in breast cancer. She utilizes treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy tailored to each individual patient. She strives to provide all of her patients with compassionate care and open communication.

Hariharan's research focuses on blood disorders, including both cancerous and noncancerous conditions. She has published her findings in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national hematology conferences.

Hariharan earned her medical degree at the Pennsylvania State University. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Davis, followed by a fellowship in hematology and oncology at the University of California, San Diego.

Outside of work, Hariharan enjoys playing the piano and spending time outdoors.

      I came to Dr. Hariharan for a 2nd opinion on my planned treatment at ABCC. She was extremely well informed about my apparently rare condition. She had an open demeanor that invited questions and discussion and did not at any time appear hurried. I got exactly what I was hoping for from our visit.
