About me
Dr. Rosalyn E. Plotzker is a preventive medicine doctor who cares for patients with an elevated risk of developing anal cancer. She provides cancer screenings via high-resolution anoscopy (examining the anal canal for abnormal cells using a magnifying instrument). She also specializes in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases and their complications.
Plotzker's research interests include anal cancer prevention, sexually transmitted disease epidemiology (the study of disease factors, such as which populations are at risk) and public health interventions that promote equity in sexual health care.
Plotzker earned her medical degree at the SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in preventive medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. She completed a fellowship in sexually transmitted diseases at UCSF. She has a master of public health degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
