About me
Elizabeth Wayne is a kidney transplant nurse practitioner who cares for patients on an outpatient basis following their surgery. Her primary goal is to optimize renal function in the first several months and long term. In addition to kidney recipients, Wayne cares for patients who have had combined kidney-pancreas, kidney-liver and kidney-heart transplants.
Wayne's special interests include immunosuppression and infectious disease, as well as patient education.
Wayne earned her nursing degree from the UCSF School of Nursing and completed several community practicums (courses for practical application of studied subjects) in primary care and psychiatry.
Wayne is a member of the American Nurses Association and American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.
