About me
Emily Tatel is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with breast cancer or other cancers as well as those at high risk for breast cancer. She provides care throughout the process of diagnosis, treatment and survivorship. She has extensive experience in women's health, having worked as a labor and delivery nurse for seven years before becoming a nurse practitioner. Prior to her current focus in care, she was part of a UCSF team providing comprehensive care, including precision medicine, for women with gynecologic cancers.
Tatel has a bachelor's degree in anthropology from Colorado College. She earned two master's degrees in nursing at Samuel Merritt University, one in case management and one in the family nurse practitioner program.
Outside of work, Tatel enjoys hiking and otherwise spending time in Point Reyes, California, with her husband, two sons and dog. She also enjoys running, traveling, reading, gardening and seeing live music.
