About me
Dr. Jane Jih is an internist who provides primary care for adults. She strives to integrate her patients' values, beliefs and needs into their care.
Jih's research focuses on preventing and managing obesity-related chronic diseases in minority and immigrant populations, particularly Asian Americans. Her work aims to address risk factors that patients can modify, such as dietary habits and physical activity, and to explore how immigration, language, culture and communication impact these behaviors.
Jih earned her medical degree and a master of public health degree in epidemiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed a residency in internal medicine at University of Chicago Medicine, then stayed in Chicago for a chief residency at Mercy Hospital & Medical Center. She subsequently completed a research fellowship in general internal medicine at UCSF.
