Dr Grandis was great, caring, empathetic, efficient and to the point. Upfront too about what we know, and especially about what we don't know about my condition. Very reassuring in all respects.

The whole time spent with Dr. Grandis seemed rather rushed, like she had someplace else to be. (This was my first time seeing her, so I don't know If that Is her general demeanor.) Granted, my problem (tinnitus) was minor and not very involving, but I felt like I was a patient she could see quickly and go on to another. I do not know if this is true of UCSF, but I know other health care organizations like their doctors to see a certain number of patients per day. That said, I felt rather like a box checked off. I was told largely what I already knew, and she recommended an MRI and said that I would be called about scheduling one. I haven't been called and feel that an MRI is largely unnecessary at this point, although I understand her desire to set a baseline for my tinnitus going forward. I was not unhappy with Dr. Grandis, but just felt rushed through.

The provider was good and I felt that since she was a little late coming into the room that I didn't get all of the time to discuss my concerns. Since this was my first meeting with her I should have had more time to discuss my issues. After our discussion she said that she wanted me to undergo Vestibular testing that would require a few hours to complete. I am waiting for the approval for this testing and moving forward to find out my concerns.
