About me
Dr. Jennifer Perkins is an endocrinologist who specializes in endocrine neoplasia (tumors of hormone-producing glands, such as adrenal, thyroid and parathyroid tumors) with a focus in thyroid cancers and familial adrenal tumors. As co-director of UCSF's endocrine neoplasia program, she works with surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and other endocrinologists to care for her patients.
Perkins earned her medical degree at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University Health and a fellowship in endocrinology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After completing her medical studies, she earned a master's degree in business administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.
Perkins has received numerous teaching awards and published many book chapters and articles on topics related to endocrine neoplasia.

Dr. Perkins Is exceptionally knowledgeable and experienced In her field of specialty and genuinely cares about the health and well being of her patients. It was a great pleasure and honor to visit her for the first time and be her patient. Dr. Perkins had thoroughly reviewed the history of my case, provided neck and throat examination, expert advice, patiently answered my questions and concerns, provided treatment plan and ordered for the follow up tests. In short, Dr. Perkins is an outstanding endocrinology oncology specialist, and a great asset to her patients and to UCSF medical teams.
