About me

Dr. Jennifer Perkins is an endocrinologist who specializes in endocrine neoplasia (tumors of hormone-producing glands, such as adrenal, thyroid and parathyroid tumors) with a focus in thyroid cancers and familial adrenal tumors. As co-director of UCSF's endocrine neoplasia program, she works with surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and other endocrinologists to care for her patients.

Perkins earned her medical degree at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University Health and a fellowship in endocrinology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. After completing her medical studies, she earned a master's degree in business administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business.

Perkins has received numerous teaching awards and published many book chapters and articles on topics related to endocrine neoplasia.

      Dr. Jennifer Perkins is an outstanding endocrinologist . She had reviewed my test results and ultrasound report thoroughly, explained them and gave instructions and advice about medications and related topics to deal with my symptoms . She always listens to my questions and concerns patiently and provides the latest available information and research about related issues. Dr. Perkins is friendly, professional and genuinely caring about her patients. I am so happy and privileged to be her patient.
