Dr. Jo Anne Gras, who goes by Jo, is an obstetrician and gynecologist who specializes in caring for patients who have been hospitalized for a variety of women's health conditions. She specializes in high-risk pregnancies and conditions such as placenta accreta spectrum (PAS), in which the placenta grows so deeply into the uterine wall that it can't detach during childbirth. PAS is considered a life-threatening condition and requires a multidisciplinary approach to provide a safe outcome for both mother and baby.
Gras earned a doctor of osteopathic medicine degree at Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UCSF. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
