About me
Dr. Joanna Harp is a dermatologist who provides care for patients with a variety of skin concerns. She has a particular interest in complex skin conditions and skin disorders related to internal disease. She is also part of a team of dermatologists who care for hospitalized patients with complex skin conditions.
In research, Harp is focused on skin conditions caused by autoimmune disorders, cutaneous vasculitis (inflammation of the skin's blood vessels) and drug reactions that adversely affect the skin.
Harp earned her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed a residency in dermatology at UCSF.
Before joining UCSF, Harp spent 13 years on the faculty of Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City, where she served as director of the Inpatient Dermatology Consult Service.
