About me
Dr. Jocelyn Chapman specializes in the surgical and medical treatment of gynecologic malignancies. She cares for patients with both cancerous and complex noncancerous diseases of the female reproductive system. In addition to expertise in the aggressive surgical management of advanced ovarian and uterine cancers, she has special training in minimally invasive procedures (laparoscopic and robotic surgery), benefiting appropriately selected patients.
Chapman's clinical research focuses on enhancing surgical and preoperative processes to ensure that all gynecologic cancer patients at UCSF receive safe, superior care. With her expertise in computational genomics, she also collaborates with UCSF cancer researchers to better understand the genetic vulnerabilities in gynecologic cancer and to use them for targeted therapies. Her research has been published in Gynecologic Oncology, Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network and Nature Biotechnology.
Chapman earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at UCSF and received specialty training through the joint Stanford-UCSF gynecologic oncology fellowship.

Everyone at UCSF, from the check in, to the nurse assistant to the doctor to the people in the blood lab were all incredibly helpful and kind. I very much appreciate each of them.

My Care Provider was focused on me and my condition with efforts to encourage earlier access of my future appointments. I'm still on a waiting list. It has been 7 days so far.

Dr. Chapman has the ease equivalent to having coffee with an old friend. She puts you at ease immediately and has an intuitive sense about her patients that definitely gives her the extra zhuzh and makes her truly special. I responded to her immediately and truly felt SO well cared for by her and her team. Everything happened so fast and all of the hospital staff I encountered ( including the nurses and (Lvn?)who cared for me in my room.. Loved them) were so kind and helpful. I couldn't have asked for anything more. They were wonderful to me. Dr. Chapman esp
