About me
Dr. Joie Zeynep Guner is a reproductive endocrinologist and fertility specialist who cares for patients with conditions causing infertility, such as endocrine disorders affecting reproduction. She is skilled at performing minimally invasive surgery. Her interests include polycystic ovarian syndrome, fibroids, uterine abnormalities and fertility preservation. In addition to improving the reproductive health of her patients, she is dedicated to educating medical students and doctor trainees.
In research, Guner's major areas of interest include developing new drugs to treat infertility; increasing access to infertility treatments through oral medications that stimulate the ovaries; and improving the health of patients with endometriosis and fibroids by translating lab research on these conditions to therapies provided in the clinic.
Guner earned her medical degree at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. At Baylor College of Medicine, she completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology and a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility. She also has a master's degree in clinical science from Baylor College of Medicine and a master's degree in clinical embryology from the University of Oxford.

Dr. Guner is so kind and wonderful and has been so thorough as our RE. We have already recommended her to friends. We're so grateful and appreciative of the care we've received and for how kind Dr. Guner has been through this hard time.

Incredibly kind and empathetic. Understood how awful I was feeling and painstakingly explained and reexplained each option and pros and cons so I could make best decision for me

The appointment went very smoothly and I felt listened to and informed. However, next steps and discussion of follow up care was rushed and honestly I'm a little confused what I should be focused on now. I wish more time was spent in discussion after the scan to talk about detailed next steps rather than before the scan.

The entire process is a well-oiled machine.
