Dr. Karla Bermudez Wagner is a perinatologist, a specialist in caring for patients with high-risk pregnancies. Her expertise includes managing genetic conditions. She performs fetal imaging, including echocardiography (ultrasound of the heart); makes prenatal diagnoses; and provides prenatal diagnostic testing, such as chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis, as well as genetic counseling.

Wagner's research focuses on prenatal diagnosis, fetal genetic conditions and fetal cardiac disease.

Wagner earned her medical degree at the Universidad Central de Venezuela. She completed two residencies in obstetrics and gynecology, the first at Maternidad Concepción Palacios in Venezuela and the second at Temple University Hospital. She completed a residency in medical genetics at UCSF and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Outside of work, Wagner enjoys walking and doing restorative yoga.
