About me

Kathleen Cavanaugh is a nurse practitioner who cares for women with cervical, endometrial, ovarian and vulvar cancers. She supports her patients from the time of diagnosis through treatments such as surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. A breast cancer survivor, she has a special interest in integrative medicine and endeavors to help patients address the mental, physical and spiritual issues that can arise from a cancer diagnosis and its treatments.

Cavanaugh earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Widener University. She earned her master's degree in nursing at UCSF.

Cavanaugh worked at Planned Parenthood and in obstetrics and gynecology at UCSF for 10 years before joining the team at the Osher Center for Integrative Health.

Cavanaugh is a member of the American Holistic Nurses Association, American Association of Nurse Practitioners and Society of Gynecologic Nurse Oncologists.
