About me

Kellie Kozel is a family nurse practitioner who provides comprehensive primary care. Her experiences working with veterans and indigenous people informed her practice style, and her areas of interest include diabetes, addiction, sexual health and advance care planning. Her goal is to help her patients feel confident in their health and empowered in their bodies. She welcomes difficult conversations and questions large or small.

While Kozel studied psychology as an undergraduate, she was drawn towards nursing after working in an HIV/AIDS hospice in South Africa for two years. She earned her master's degree at Yale School of Nursing and completed a residency in primary and geriatric care at the Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

When not working, Kozel may be found hiking, woodworking, experimenting with vegetarian recipes, and amassing too many houseplants.
