About me
Dr. Leah Witt is a geriatrician – a specialist in health concerns related to aging – who provides care for geriatric patients in both the clinic and hospital, including advance care planning. She is also a pulmonologist, a specialist in lung disorders. She cares for patients with interstitial lung disease, a condition that causes scarring of lung tissue, as well as other conditions affecting lung function.
Witt earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. She completed a residency in internal medicine as well as clinical and research fellowships in pulmonary medicine at the University of Chicago, where she studied interstitial lung disease. She then completed a fellowship in geriatrics at UCSF. She is a member of the American Thoracic Society and American Geriatrics Society.
In her free time, Witt enjoys running, urban hiking, yoga and baking. She is also a podcast fan, producing her own episodes and co-hosting a series on women in medicine for "The Curbsiders," a podcast that focuses on internal medicine.
