About me
Lorena Rosales Boyle is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with cancer. She works alongside care teams to help guide individuals through complex treatment protocols, providing education, managing side effects and supporting patients throughout treatment. Before joining UCSF, Boyle worked with underserved communities through federally qualified health centers in New York City, with a focus on HIV medicine.
In her research, Boyle focuses on improving patient outcomes, health and quality of life through clinical trials (studies of promising new treatments) and other investigational cancer treatments.
Boyle earned her master's degree in nursing at Columbia University.
Boyle, a second-generation Mexican American, was born in San Francisco and now lives in Marin County. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, two children and their English bulldog, especially hiking and going to the beach.
