Mara Ma is a nurse navigator who collaborates with the breast imaging team to ensure that patients have a smooth experience throughout the diagnostic process. She coordinates diagnostic appointments and biopsies. She also educates patients on what to expect from procedures and ways to reduce their breast cancer risk.
Ma earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at the University of San Francisco. She began her nursing career as a breast care nurse navigator elsewhere and welcomed the opportunity to continue her passion for breast health at UCSF.
