About me

Marina Emery is a nurse practitioner who cares for adults and children with benign or malignant bone or soft tissue tumors as well as conditions similar to tumors.

Emery assesses and diagnoses new patients referred by their primary care or specialist providers. She determines whether they need advanced imaging, a biopsy or a referral, such as to a medical oncologist, an orthopedic surgeon for surgery or an interventional radiologist for minimally invasive image-guided treatment. She helps manage care before and after surgery, coordinates care with specialists and monitors patients' tissue abnormalities over time to ensure treatment when needed.

Emery earned her bachelor's degree in nursing at Pennsylvania State University. She earned her master's degree at UCSF in the Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program, with a specialty focus on occupational and environmental health.

In her free time, Emery enjoys running, cycling and participating in endurance races. She also dabbles in carpentry, crafts and indoor gardening.
