About me

Matthew Sachs is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with precancerous changes related to human papillomavirus (HPV) in the anal canal or the area surrounding the anus. He screens patients using anoscopy, a way of examining the anal canal with a specialized instrument.

Sachs earned his master's degree in nursing in UCSF's adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner program. He subspecialized in HIV care.

Outside of work, Sachs has been volunteering for more than a decade with an internationally recognized nonprofit that supports the Bay Area's LGBTQ+ community through community service, social activism and fun approaches to fundraising.
