About me
Megan Grant is a nurse practitioner who cares for patients with blood cancers while they’re receiving treatments in the hospital, including stem cell transplants. She likes working as part of a team comprising many types of specialists, and she enjoys supporting patients as they receive new diagnoses and undergo intensive treatments.
Grant earned her master's degree in nursing at UCSF and now teaches UCSF nursing students as an assistant clinical professor. She has conducted research on the prevalence of antibodies to the COVID-19 virus among San Francisco firefighters.
Grant is originally from Chicago. She commutes to work by bike and enjoys longer rides on her days off. Before becoming a nurse, she worked on green roofs (roofs where plants grow on soil, conferring environmental and other benefits), including one on the UCSF Ray and Dagmar Dolby Regeneration Medicine Building.
