About me
Melissa Brie is a neuropsychologist, a psychologist who specializes in the relationship between the brain and behavior. She helps patients develop strategies for adapting to ongoing cognitive issues (those involving thoughts, perceptions and reasoning abilities), provides assessments to help patients better understand their cognitive changes, and develops individualized treatment plans to improve quality of life. She also provides psychotherapy to help patients cope with a brain tumor diagnosis and adjustment to life after treatment.
Brie's research focuses on tracking cognitive changes experienced by patients with brain tumors and determining the best treatments for improving cognition and enabling patients to return to their daily lives.
Brie earned her doctor of psychology degree from the Wright Institute. She completed a UCSF fellowship in neuropsychology, training at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center.
