Dr. Michael Eric Friduss is an otolaryngologist. He cares for patients who need general head and neck surgery, procedures involving the thyroid or parathyroid glands, and facial plastic surgery. With every patient, his emphasis is on providing kind, compassionate care.
Friduss' recent research focuses on treating hypercalcemia (excess calcium in the blood), which can be caused by overactive parathyroid glands (small glands that sit behind the thyroid glands in the neck and secrete a hormone that regulates calcium).
Friduss earned his medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. He completed a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of California, Los Angeles.
In his free time, Friduss enjoys long-distance running and taking fine arts classes. He has completed 15 marathons on six continents, including the 2021 San Francisco Marathon, which he did with his daughter and niece.
